200 Summary

Here we define the tool that makes us conscious individuals. That also makes us able to observe and define human existence as such. It is also the reason for us being able to draw conclusions about whatever. As a matter of fact we are unthinkable as this human being phenomenon that we are, without this tool. Of course we are talking about the mind here. From another point of view it is also called consciousness. We look into the functions of the mind and also make sure that we understand how powerful this tool is. It can be used both to support and to block our progress as human entities. Emotions and will power are also parts of this phenomenon of mind. We will look more closely at those two. Finally we consider the connection between the important tool that is the mind and what we call reality.

201 Our Senses

Within consciousness and our biological existence, that embraces the source of our thoughts and the collective emotional messages of the body, we have enough to consider. Both learning and discovering for ourselves from the hour of our birth. It seems we are designed to be constantly discovering things and phenomena. After doing that, we try to put the discoveries into a form understandable to others. We express ourselves with different degrees of success about all this to. We do that exclusively with the assistance of our waking consciousness. How else could we do it anyway, you might ask? Do we know any other way? The answer is both yes and no. - But our mind is more creative than this. It will not be satisfied with the
experiences from the external existence. Now and then the thoughts break
out of the prison of biological existence. Then the mind creates non-experienced views of existence. We are not merely talking about dreams in the state of sleep, which is also a non-experienced part of our existence. Rather we are talking about man's creation in the fields of art. Representatives of the field of psychic sciences say that this non-experienced creation of the mind is really the only sign of a purpose in man's existence! Apart from that it is of course far from being our only experienced existence. However, our senses and therefore also the understanding won from their registration does not only supply us with useful information. As they are certainly a part of our biological and physical existence they are also limiting factors to our understanding.
